Every substantive correction is recorded here, with the date and what changed.

What counts

Logged: a factual error, a figure attributed to the wrong source type, a mechanism described wrongly, a range that does not match practice, or a recommendation reversed.

Not logged: typographical fixes and clarified wording that does not change meaning.

The correction most worth sending

A figure labelled as one source type that came from another.

The labelling is the single rule this site would be least defensible without, and getting one wrong undermines every other figure on the page.

If you have real numbers

What you measured, over what period, what changed.

Particularly where it contradicts a page here. Almost nobody publishes their own workforce data, which is why this field runs on vendor statistics — and one organisation's actual figures outrank a great deal of what is in circulation.

About the archive

The archived material predates the current standard and is kept separately for that reason.

Errors in it are not corrected, because correcting some and not others would misrepresent the whole as reviewed. If something there is wrong in a way that matters, the page can be removed rather than amended, and that decision is the owner's.
